Overview
There are 4.5K+ Edtech startups in India that mostly cater to the school going kids who have english as the first/second language. This is a bare 17% of the overall market. In a country with drop out levels at 34% over-all at senior school levels - the solutions are not going to be "content"(bigger, better, different) , or "live classes", or even "test papers", first. Neither is it about translating the "content" to vernacular.
The difference in learning outcomes we see is because the Education products fail to put student centricity and their unique context at the heart of the product and USE the entire context to improve the way kids learn.
This is the platform Shunya is trying to build, for India at Scale.
