Overview
Currently for a creator it takes around 2 years to start earning money. We help them make money using their talents from Day1.
And for content consumers the consumption is passive and unproductive. We help consumers earn money using their skills while consuming content.
On Timbuktu, we organize online talent competitions across genres like dance, music, singing, photography, fashion and many more. Content creators participate in these competitions and content consumers judge them. And both of them can earn money using their skills.
Winning creators are decided based on the number of votes they get and winning judges are decided based on the accuracy of their judgment.
Judges pay a small entry fee to enter these competitions. 80% of the total pooled in amount is distributed back to the judges, 10% goes to the winning creators and 10% is kept by us as platform fee.
Currently we are bootstrapped and have a runway for a year. We will raise addition capital in next 4-5 months once we reach certain milestones.
