Vokal

Vokal is a knowledge sharing platform in regional languages designed for the next billion users. India is the only country with a high language diversity of 100+ languages. India is expected to rise from 400 million internet users to about 800 million users. Most of whom will be with vernacular preferences. Unfortunately there's a dearth of content to cater to these users in a largely English dominated internet. If they search for basic questions / queries on Google, they get irrelevant search results. Most of their search queries are in voice but the search results are web links - something many aren't used to.

These vernacular internet users don't enjoy the same level of information and knowledge that english internet users do. Vokal bridges that gap by giving vernacular Indians the easiest way to ask questions using voice. These questions are then answered by subject matter experts in voice or video, in their native language.

Vokal is a small team of 30 people that's poised to cater to 250+ million monthly users in the next few years thanks to the ever-growing network of contributors that create more vernacular content on the internet everyday than anyone else on the planet!
