Overview
As millions of Americans suffer from chronic pain and stress, non-toxic, non-addictive, plant-based products like CBD have become a focal point in the CPG / wellness sector. With the passing of the Farm Bill in 2018, opportunities for growth in the CBD sector have skyrocketed, but CBD is an emerging industry with almost no regulatory clarity from the FDA. Very few brands are building the brand equity required for mass user adoption, and even fewer are focused on developing high-quality, clean products with the transparency needed to scale. Additionally, the affluent female demographic is largely underserved, which is one that is comfortable investing in self-care and wellness products, often at a high premium.
We believe our brand value comes from enabling each person to overcome the tyranny of pain and stress through everyday wellness and the healing power of plants. The marketplace is cluttered and noisy. We want to stand out by delivering a beautifully designed product experience and by building a community of like-minded wellness seekers. Whispr is positioned as a premier brand that incites a belief system around a healthy mind, body, and soul. Our holistic, plant-based products spur education, compelling content, and community.
In Q1 2020, Whispr launched with a core set of products; namely, a tincture, bath bomb, and roll-on. In Q2, we innovated during the pandemic and launched a CBD-infused hand sanitizer and breath spray. Through e-commerce learnings and conversations with notable partners, it has become clear that Whispr needs a new set of innovative topical products that stand up to the brand and allow us to take full advantage of the opportunities available. Whispr is seeking investment to develop a strong set of CBD-in-fused SKUs including a Green Tea Face Scrub, 3-in-1 Moisturizer with SPF, Anti-aging Eye Cream, Sunscreen, and Toner.
